The Outrageous, Immoral and Abhorrent Pensions of Nigeria's ex-Governors

Paraphrasing the late Malcolm X, Nigerians did not land on Demo-crazy, Demo-crazy landed on Nigerians.

It is absolutely disgusting and immoral, the type of democracy we say we are practicing. It is unsustainable, it is blood-draining, and most importantly, it is now obvious to every doubter that it is not a government of the people, by the people, for the people; but RATHER, a government by some people, for some people to benefit some people.

It is totally abhorrent and unacceptable. In truly democratic countries, things are not done this way.

It is no wonder it is a "do-and/or-die" affair by a few lecherous parasites, with no defined career before politics and having rigged, cheated and murdered their way into power, loot the treasury, and more outrageously, when they leave power, they somehow continue to feed fat on the blood and sweat of the people they misgoverned for several years of their tenure.

We have got to put a brake to this, which has been happening since 2003, when the first set of governors left.

It is a shame that states' Houses of Assembly are mere rubber stamps of the governors after they have been compromised; and a shame that the National Assembly(the Senate and the House of Reps) look the other way, just to protect their own highly inflated incomes and interests.

Any more proof that our politicians and so-called leaders seek positions to be served and NOT to serve?

Are we going to continue serving them for life? At this rate, they are going to starve us all and turn us into their slaves.
